From 2022-23 Unita served as the Lead Consultant for the Metro Business Center and the Sacramento Metro Chamber, to provide Post-Pandemic Recovery Consulting Services to businesses and nonprofits within Sacramento City and County limits.  The range of services provided included Marketing Assistance, Funding through Grants and Loans, and Government Affairs support.

Since 2020, Unita (formerly "Erica Castillo Consulting") has actively advocated, developed, and managed various technical assistance programs, education series, and grants tailored to support small businesses and nonprofits in the fitness, health, and wellness sectors across California. As the lead consultant for multiple contracts, Unita partnered with the CASFFA to successfully distribute over $100k in small business grants and provide technical training and assistance to small business owners in various areas of expertise including marketing, PR, government affairs, etc.

Unita takes great pride in spearheading impactful local advocacy initiatives and Public Relations campaigns for a variety of community organizations and industries.

An inspiring example of a multi-year local advocacy project that garnered extensive media coverage involved drafting and coordinating a Formal City of Sacramento Resolution. This resolution was dedicated to honoring the contributions of the late restaurateur and community leader, Biba Caggiano. The dedication and presentation, featuring the Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra, were highlighted by reporters from the Sacramento Bee and ABC10 during their end-of-season Gala Performance at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center.
