At Unita, we provide both full-service marketing and strategic coaching to meet the evolving needs of mission-driven organizations, small businesses, and government agencies. Our services include social media management, email marketing, media campaigns, polcy advocacy, public relations, and government affairs.
Using research-driven strategies, we help our clients increase visibility, build credibility, and meet or exceed key goals, whether that means meeting fundraising targets, boosting ticket sales, driving outreach, or influencing policy outcomes. Our flexible approach allows clients to choose between hands-on support or coaching-style guidance to build internal capacity. Erica Castillo is a Government Affairs & Strategic Communications Manager specializing in leveraging research and data to drive impactful marketing & communications campaigns, policies, initiatives, and programs for nonprofits, small businesses, and local governments.
Erica holds a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences, Certifications in Marketing and City Management, and has over a decade of experience in the legal, government, and small business/nonprofit sectors. Erica began consulting full-time in 2019, and her professional background includes serving as a District Director for a Sacramento City Councilmember, Marketing and Programs Manager for a Property-Based Improvement District (PBID), and holding legal-sector roles, including Paralegal and Marketing and Operations Manager at multiple law firms.
